To access this module click on Territory Manager
1) Choose the points of sale and create a geographical filter.
Select Territory Manager in the Store Network tab
2) When you enter the Territory Manager module, you will see a list of all the premises identified, along with the disposable income analysis and census population, by default.
You will also see a button that allows you to compare new locations.
3) Add external variables, internal variables and filters
When selecting the variables you want to analyse, you only have to click on the button “Add variable” and select those which you need. For example, would you be interested to see how many competitors are within a 10-minute walking distance of your store? Or to know the footfall of each of your stores?
- Click Add Variable → External variables → Points of interest → Mark the competitors you want → Select the catchment area → Apply
- Click Add Variable → External variables → Point footfall → Select the catchment area → Apply
If you have added more variables to your stores in My Data, they can be used, such as the turnover of each store or the number of customers.
- Click on Add Column → Internal variables.
NOTE: You can add as many variables as you want and they can have different catchment area types. Or you can add the same variable multiple times but with different catchment areas. Also, you can edit the catchment areas once the variable is added → in each of the columns you will see three dots → Edit Catchment Area
4) Segment your analysis
Once you have all the variables, apply filters to segment the analysis. For example, one for Disposable Income to be able to see only your points of sale located in areas where the disposable income is greater than £40,000.
- Click on Add filters → Disposable income → greater than £40,000
5) Create a Scoring System
You can give more weight to a variable and customize your analysis
- Click Add Column → Scoring system → Add more weight to the variable you want and set your ideal value → Calculate score.
In the columns, you will see two small triangles in order to rank from highest to lowest.
6) Create groupings
Would you be interested in grouping your stores into two groups depending on the disposable income per household?
With the column that we want to apply for the visible grouping (in this case Disposable Income), we apply the filter that we want. For example, income greater than 40,000
- Click on Add Column → Internal variable → Add new internal variable → Name you want (in our case High or Low disposable Income) → Create new variable
- Click on the three dots next to the column name → Perform bulk action → Add new categorical value → Name you want to see (High) → Apply over the cells
Now we remove the filter
- Click on the three dots next to the column name → Perform bulk action → Add new categorical value → Name you want to see (Low) → Apply to empty cells
Now you have your own grouping with a custom variable.
